I am in need of a Newspapaper LOOK UP. I AM ATTEMPTING TO FIND OUT MY FATHERS REAL NAME.
our surname is Register . I always thought my fathers given name was Carroll leonard Register but of late have found out it was an alias.( given name) my dad was forcwed to legally change his name when he attempted to get his SS in or about 1980. Her was then living in Thonotasassa Florida. It is my understanding that in order to change his name legally he would have had to publish in the newspaperFOR WEEKS his assumed name and his given name and birth surname. Is there anyone who can go to the Library and look this up for me? this alias has created an Iron curtain in my genealogy.
