Notes
Individual:
Ref: Dick Florea, Fort Wayne, Indiana

Lorina was mother of two girls, ages 10 and 5 at her death. Cemetery records show an Infant Shurick interred October 19, 1873, in the same Lot 64 as Lorina.

Lorina's mother, Junia A. Aveline died July 23, 1880 at Lorina's home. She, too, is buried at Lindenwood, in Lot 65, Section B. Cemetery records show her birthplace as Vermont. Her obituary indicates her late husband, Francis S. Aveline, was the first landlord of the Aveline House. (Note: This was the city's leading hotel of the day and 40 some years later burned with 8 or 9 deaths). The obit lists children as Joseph B. Aveline of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Horace Clark of Indianapolis; and Mrs. J.S. Shurick of Fort Wayne. Two sons were dead: Captain F.S. Aveline Jr of the 12th Indiana Volunteers, killed at Missionary Ridge November 25, 1863, and George Aveline, who died November 28, 1874, in Fort Wayne. The two sons are also buried at Lindenwood.

The Lindenwood Cemetery records show the family plots also contain Thomas Aveline, who died August 14, 1865, age 51, and Martha D. Aveline, who died September 8, 1902, age 44y 8m 19d. It looks like Martha might have died in Chicago and not been buried in Fort Wayne until the following January.
